Xygia Sulphur beach / springs and Mikris Gialos

Xygia Sulphur Beach

Xygia Sulphur beach /Springs and Mikris Gialos are on the same road. We went to Xygia Sulphur Springs by self drive hire boat from Agios Sostis beach. We also saw it again when we were driving on the road to St Nicholas Port and looked down and saw the signs for it. There is a beach there and people say you can bathe in the [very smelly] sulfur sea which is supposed to be very therapeutic. You can see collagen flakes floating in the sea. I did get out of the boat to try it, I can’t say my skin felt much better and the smell is rather over powering! The things us ladies do in the name of beauty.

After Xygia Suphur Springs -Mikris Gialos-pretty for a photo, quick stop or swim

En route to St Nicholas Port there is a lovely photo opportunity to stop and photo Mikris Gialos as well.

It’s very pretty with a bay and a few houses but the back drop is lovely. I think you can hire your own boat from here too.

Both these places can be planned en route to St Nicholas or Skinari. Both you pass on the main road.

You may be interested to see my St Nicholas page and Skinari  page if this is where you are heading for the day.

The route by road from Kalamaki, main road passing Gouleika, Sarakinado, Agios Demetrios, Katastari. Chartata, keep right Xingia, Makris Giaolos, to St Nicholas.
