Mykonos View

Mykonos View

Mykonos View hotel is a 3 star hotel located approx a 10 min walk from the town and harbour.  We had a double sea view room towards the top of the hotel with a side terrace with chairs and a table, and the views were outstanding. Views across to the old port where the circular car park is, the windmills, some churches, the waterfront and the sea. We used to watch the seabus taxi ferrying passengers back and forth and the day ferry boats to Delos arriving. It was magical. The hotel is located up a steep hill from the town beach area. Once inside Mykonos View hotel grounds you either face many steps going up over many levels of accommodation, once you pass reception, or face a small incline to the rooms at the top. The swimming pool and sunbathing deck is located at the top of the hotel. We were greeted by Vicky on reception who was very friendly and accommodating. She even organised a car hire company for us. We went around Mykonos sights in one day including Paradise beach.

Breakfast was included in our rate and it was very varied and a good choice. This included bacon, scrambled and boiled eggs, sausages, breads, pastries, cakes, salad and meats and a choice of juices tea and coffee. Breakfast is taken in a lovely sunny room with decorated cushions. There are also bar snacks and meals that can be ordered and eaten in another dining area. Each morning we were greeted by Lilly whom we gave our room number to and spent some time chatting to us, and making sure we were all looked after during breakfast. We had visits daily from a lovely family of well cared for cats and kittens and who even ventured in our room on a couple of occasions.

The room was spacious, kept very clean from the lovely cleaners who also changed our towels daily. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, the bathroom had a shower, there was a kettle and wall mounted bathroom hairdryer. We booked this room for a week during October and were concerned whether the weather would be warm. Mykonos is known as the windy island and it was windy, some days far more so than others, but we also had hot spells as well. Thankfully it didn’t rain whilst we were there. We took the ferry to Paros and Naxos for 2 nights and returned back to the same room on return for the remainder of our holiday.

We hope one day to return to Mykonos View hotel.
