Mykonos Paros Naxos

Mykonos Paros Naxos are all in the Cyclades islands of Greece. We flew with EasyJet to Mykonos and then used SeaJets and Blue Star ferries to island hop to Paros and Naxos.

I have reviewed the hotels we stayed at

Mykonos View, Boucamvigilies by the Sea and Cyano Suites for each island. This feature is a look at what we did and where we went on our island hopping adventure.

All 3 islands have white cuboid houses, hotels which are all whitewashed. The main area of Mykonos is located around the ‘Chora’ [ town] with its maze of streets and alleys you can’t help but get lost in. Everywhere is very clean and very well  maintained. Mykonos is also known as the party island and one of the 4 most popular gay resorts in Europe. During the summer months Mykonos gets very busy with party goers. We visited in October so it was much quieter and were able to get out and about to do some sight seeing.

Mykonos

has the iconic windmills standing proud above Little Venice. There are many churches with blue or red domed roofs and makes for some lovely photos. The old port is where the waterfront restaurants bars and tavern’s lie. Most of the ferries to depart to the other islands depart from the New Port. To get from the old to the new port one can use the Seabus service which costs 2 euros and takes 5 minutes, otherwise a walk would be a good half an hour. There is more to talk about on Mykonos as this is where we were based and only stayed one night in Paros, and one night in Naxos.

Paros

has a lovely waterfront harbour in the resort of Naousa and a picturesque port Parikia.

Naxos

is famous for its waterfront with its castle, and of course the ancient monument Portaria.

We only had a snapshot of Naxos and Paros on this trip.

Mykonos Paros Naxos islands are a good combination and we managed to do this is a short space of time. Another good group of islands after flying in to Mykonos could be Tilos, Andros and Siros.
