Kefalonia

Kefalonia [sometimes also spelt Cephalonia] another superb island located in the Ionian Sea and in the group of Ionian Islets. Other islands include Zakynthos, Lefkada and Corfu. Ithaca island is located north east of Kefalonia and reached by boat.

Santorini

Santorini also known as Thira is located in the Southern Cyclades in the Agean Sea. Many tour operators go here, we have previously flown there from UK with EasyJet.

Zakynthos Greek Island

Zakynthos Greek island Zakynthos Greek island in the Ionain sea is also known affectionately as Zante . This Greek island is also a ‘must see’ island in Greece.

Milos Kimolos Cyclades Islands

Milos Kimolos Cyclades islands Greece. Milos is part of the South West Cyclades group of Greek islands and is an hour and half away from Santorini, by high speed ferry. Milos is often referred to as ‘ the island of colours’ which is reflected in the pretty colours of the fishermen’s houses Syrmata.

Corfu, Paxos and Anti Paxos

In this section you will find Corfu, Paxos and Anti Paxos Islands. Corfu a Greek Ionian island is the second largest in the Ionian Islands. Its distances are 64 km in length and 32 km across.

Lefkada island

Lefkada island [Lefkas] lies near Kefalonia, Ithaca, Corfu and Zante in the Ionian sea.. The capital is Lefkada town at the north of the island. It is easily reached by ferry from Corfu, by going to mainland Greece to Igoumenitsa port first, and then driving to Lefkada.

Mykonos Paros Naxos

Mykonos Paros Naxos are all in the Cyclades islands of Greece. We flew with EasyJet to Mykonos and then used SeaJets and Blue Star ferries to island hop to Paros and Naxos.

Travel Tips

We generally try and fly Easyjet for all our Greek island destinations. It means travelling to the London airports which for us is usually Gatwick or Luton and we stay the night before in a hotel nearby.

Kos Dodecanese island

Dodecanese island Kos is found in the Dodecanese group of Greek islands, in the South East Aegean sea. Kos is famous for its white sandy beaches and is a popular tourist island.  Kos island is not that far from Turkey. Kos has an international airport and you can reach neighbouring Nisyros by ferry.

Skiathos and Skopelos Sporades islands

Skiathos Sporades island is located in the west Aegean Sea. Located in the group known as the Sporades area of the Greek islands, along with Alonnisos. The main international airport is at Skiathos. The film Mamma Mia was filmed in some locations on Skiathos and Skopelos.

Leros Dodecanese island

Leros Dodecanese island can be found in the South Aegean Sea. It is located north of Kalymnos, near Patmos and Lipsi.  Leros  island has a traditional charm about it, with many beautiful places to visit especially breathtaking St Isidoros church.

 

Telendos Dodecanese island

Telendos island in the Dodecanese is a small quiet island with an handful of restaurants tavernas and studios for rent. Located less than 1 km from Kalymnos accessible by water taxi. A haven for climbers along with Kalymnos.

Kalymnos Dodecanese island

Kalymnos has a wonderful entry port at Pothia with many vibrant colourful churches, houses and waterfront. On the hill to the left you can see Savas Monastery with a huge Cross overlooking the port. On the other side of the port high up on the hill you can see a church with a Greek flag beneath it.

Nisyros Dodecanese island

Nisyros Dodecanese island has charming very picturesque villages such as Mandraki, Emporio and Nikia, with photogenic churches and scenery. Nisyros is known for its active volcano which you can visit and walk on. Prophet Elias church near Nikia is stunning as is the church in Nikia.
